The 22 nd Annual Laurelville Music and Worship Leaders’ Weekend is an opportunity to take a peek into what the future of the Mennonite Church and of worship in Mennonite churches might be. The guests this January will be three people who will help us to imagine: Rod Stafford, pastor of Portland (Ore.) Mennonite Church, Jennifer Davis Sensenig, former pastor of the Pasadena (Calif.) Mennonite Church, and Randall Spaulding, pastor of the Covenant Mennonite Fellowship, Sarasota (Fla.)
The weekend will consist of singing together, worshipping together, listening to our guests, discussing ideas, and plenty of fellowship. The change that is happening across the church creates a dis-ease, a condition that can be ignored, wrestled with, or embraced. The weekend is an opportunity to wrestle and to become engaged in the change that is around us.
In addition to the three guests who will be with us, the regulars will be present and active as usual: Ken Nafziger, Marlene Kropf, Marilyn Houser Hamm, and Ted Swartz.
