Hospitality and Camraderie
When you sign up to run, you'll receive free food and lodging at Laurelville during marathon weekend. Bond with others who share your passion for Laurelville's ministry as well as your crazy runner's mentality. Travel to the race expo together and enjoy convenient marathon eve lodging with families in Pittsburgh Mennonite Church.
Race Flexibility
You might be saying to yourself, "Marathon? No way!" But you don't have to be a running junkie to take part in this event. There are three race options for you to choose from, which means you can find the right distance for you. Choose from the 26.2 mile full Marathon, the half marathon (13.1 miles) or the Marathon Relay (26.2 miles divided among five runners). And if running even a few blocks isn't for you, you're still welcome to come cheer on those crazy enough to be out there running on Sunday morning.
Satisfaction Not only will you experience the satisfaction of meeting your goals - whether they be time-oriented, training-based or simply that of completing your chosen race - you will also enjoy knowing your efforts have helped to allow many campers and program participants come to Laurelville for free or reduced rates. Imagine feeling all of that at the finish line!
Still not sold on the idea? Contact Brian Paff (7-time marathon finisher) with any questions or if you need that extra nudge to lace up those running shoes and get out the door. We'll see you on the starting line...
