Deposits
A deposit is required to hold a building for your group. Based on the buildings you reserve, deposits will be applied toward the balance of your retreat upon satisfactory completion of contract terms.
Cancellations
Cancellation of your retreat six (6) months prior to your retreat date results in a return of your initial deposit.
Cancellation under six (6) months of your retreat date results in 1/3rd of your second deposit being refunded if LMCC is able to rebook the facilities your group had booked. The first deposit will be retained.
Payment
Payment is due during your visit. An invoice based on your group’s final report numbers will be made during your retreat. Under special circumstances, your group will be given net 10 day terms to pay the balance.
Guidelines
Leaders, you are responsible to make sure all members of your group are aware of these guidelines.
1. No pets are permitted on grounds. Seeing eye dogs or animal assistants are welcome.
2. Smoking is allowed in designated areas on the grounds, but our buildings are smoke free.
The designated areas are as follows:
• Back Patio of Guesthouse
• Back parking lot by hill of Solarhouse
• Well platform by Lodge
• Parking lot behind the Laurel Room (outdoors)
• Back porches of the Cottages
• Lower level patio or back porch of Danzig
3. Alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs are not allowed anywhere on grounds.
4. To be sensitive to other guest and nearby residences, we enforce an 11:00 p.m. noise curfew.
5. Laurelville is equipped with a communication system for inter-campus phone calls. These telephones are located in most of the individual building throughout the center and are available for intercom and incoming, and out-going calls in selected locations.
In case of emergency, please dial '6' on any campus phone or call 724-423-2056 from a personal cell phone.
If the office is not staffed, you will receive instructions to call one of our staff on call. All phones on grounds have emergency instructions.
6. To ensure the future provision of well maintained facilities, we need your cooperation. Vandalism, damages, and excessive cleaning beyond "normal wear" will be charged to you accordingly. Please report any damages to the office.
7. Laurelville does not provide medical services. If there is a medical emergency, our staff is willing to assist in calling emergency services, or you may call 911. Please notify our staff immediately if you have called for medical services so that we may assist.
8. Your group is responsible for its own primary medical/accident insurance coverage.
9. All audio/visual equipment, campfires, and People Mover times are offered on an availability basis and must be scheduled on your final group report in advance of your retreat date.
10. Pennsylvania state law requires that children under 12 wear a helmet when riding bikes. For your safety, we also recommend appropriate equipment for those on roller blades, skates, skateboards and other recreation equipment.
