Gymnasium—The Shenandoah

Play volleyball, basketball and other indoor games in our multi-purpose gymnasium. The Shenandoah also features a sound system and a loft recreation room with ping pong, carpet ball, and more...

Swimming Pool

Cool off in the summer months in our large swimming pool, featuring a wading pool for younger swimmers and plenty of water toys for a variety of pool games. The swimming pool is open to guests and the local community 1-5 daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Lifeguard must be on duty at all times during pool use.

Teambuilding

During your stay here, why not spend some time building relationships, growing character and developing teamwork? We have a low ropes course in the woods which is facilitated by certified instructors. We also have an entire curriculum built around cooperation and personal growth which can help make your stay at Laurelville even more memorable and worthwhile.

Ball Fields

Gather a larger group for a game of softball, soccer, or ultimate frisbee on one of our large ball fields, located along the main drive and at the Laurel Youth Village. Some recreation equipment is available at the office.

Miniature Golf

Putt your way through our par 54, 18-hole miniature golf course. Golf clubs and balls are provided near hole 1; additional equipment is available at the office.

Bocce Court

Try your hand at our newest recreation option—bocce. Bring your own set of bocce balls or borrow a set from us. The court is located adjacent to the Shenandoah and features lighting for play past twilight.

Hiking Trails

Go for a walk in the woods. Our hiking trails cover 8 miles of challenging terrain, offering beautiful views and a great chance to retreat.

Playground

Swings, slides, a merry-go-round—everything you’d expect from a great playground. Conveniently located across from the Dining Hall and adjacent to the swimming pool area, the playground allows your children to play while you supervise from a safe distance.

Outdoor Courts

Enjoy a friendly game of basketball, tennis or volleyball on our outdoor courts. Equipment available onsite or at the main office.

Kubb (pronounced KOOB)

A fun game for children and adults, kubb is gaining popularity across the country which resembles the games of bowling and horseshoes. It involves tossing wooden sticks across the lawn to try to knock over larger wooden blocks. While you’re here, try your hand at in this innovative, entertaining lawn game.

Horseshoes

A game of horseshoes, anyone? This classic outdoor game challenges you to see how close you can land your horseshoes to the ring. Have a blast trading turns pitching horseshoes in the pits beside our volleyball court.

Shuffleboard

Push your pucks across the court next to the miniature golf course and see who can score the most points. Shuffleboard is a classic camp game and one you’ll enjoy again and again while at Laurelville.

Board Games and Puzzles

You always need to have something in case of a rainy day. Enjoy our collection of board games, chess and checkers sets, and puzzles during your stay at Laurelville. Available in lodging facilities and in the main office.
