Guidelines and Policies
Leaders are responsible to make sure all members of their group are aware of these standards.

1. No pets are permitted on grounds. Seeing eye dogs or animal assistants are welcome.

2. Smoking is allowed in designated areas on the grounds, but our buildings are smoke free. The designated areas are as follows:
Back Patio of Guesthouse
Back parking lot by hill of Solarhouse
Well platform by Lodge
Parking lot behind the Laurel Room (outdoors)
Back porches of the Cottages
Lower level patio or back porch of Danzig

3. Alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs are not allowed anywhere on grounds.

4. To be sensitive to other guest and nearby residences, we enforce an 11:00 p.m. noise curfew.

5. Laurelville is equipped with a communication system for inter-campus phone calls. These telephones are located in most of the individual building throughout the center and are available for intercom and incoming, and out-going calls in selected locations. In case of emergency, please call 724-423-2056. If the office is not staffed, you will receive instructions to call one of our staff on call. All phones on grounds have emergency instructions.

6. To ensure the future provision of well maintained facilities, we need your cooperation. Vandalism, damages, and excessive cleaning beyond "normal wear" will be charged to you accordingly. Please report any damages to the office.

7. Laurelville does not provide medical services. If there is a medical emergency, our staff is willing to assist in calling emergency services, or you may call 911. Please notify our staff immediately if you have called for medical services so that we may assist.

8. Your group is responsible for its own primary medical/accident insurance coverage.

9. All audio/visual equipment, campfires, and People Mover times are offered on an availability basis and must be scheduled on your final group report in advance of your retreat date.

10. Pennsylvania state law requires that children under 12 wear a helmet when riding bikes. For your safety, Laurelville also recommends appropriate equipment for those on roller blades, skates, skateboards and other recreation equipment.
