After the Seekers had dinner and learned each others’ names, our Bible teacher Joe Furry spoke about God’s unselfish love for us. As he read the theme verse 1 John 4:7-21, he had a camper (or counselor) stand each time the word “love” was in the passage – there were a lot of people standing by the end of it! After a little silly string and some wise words, we are looking forward to spending more time with Joe learning about how God loves us and how we can love others. The Gathering was followed by an all-camp water fight, a water balloon toss, SLIP N’ SLIDE!!!, and some water balloon launching!

Campers jumped in to their first full day with our classic polar bear swim this morning! Special interests today include soccer, hikes, crafts, capture the flag, and more. Plus, we are excited to once again have our low ropes course certified for Cabin Faithful/Cabin Mix-Up this week! There’s always lots of great ways to stay active in mind, body, and spirit here at Laurelville.
